Panasonic G25 50" Plasma TV

Salesman was very knowledgeable about TV's when I was doing my research, so I decided to buy from hhgregg. Amazon had the best prices, but I wanted to give the salesman who I'd spoke to originally, my commission.

It started out great. They price matched Amazon and gave me a 14 day return policy and 30 day price match guarantee (similar to Amazon's 30 day return and price match policy). 11 days later the exact same tv went on sale again at amazon for 50$ less. Also, I had a question about hooking my surround sound to an internet feature on the tv.

So I went back in to hhgregg with a printout of the advertisement. When I walked up to the customer service counter in the middle of the store there were two women who both had no customers. One of them was wearing a leather jacket with no hint that she was an actual employee, and the other actually was wearing the red uniform and identification, so I approached the more professional looking employee. Unfortunately, she wasn't as familiar with price match policies.

Apparently, the one in the leather jacket (Angela) was the 'Operations Manager,' so I had to talk to her!!! She seemed bothered to be interrupted from her computer and rudely told me, "We don't price match Amazon," (I explained that I only purchased it 11 days ago from hhgregg because they had price matched amazon)and she responded, "Do you have any paperwork indicating we price matched Amazon when you purchased the TV from us?" I showed her my receipt where it clearly stated that it was an 'amazon price match,' next to the sales price.

She repeated herself more rudely than before "We don't do that here," and REFUSED the price match guarantee. I asked to speak to her manager, and she said was the manager. I asked for someone higher up and she replied "the general manager is on vacation and won't be back for another week."

I was appalled at her behavior. I told her that I would be returning the tv and she said "Fine, go ahead." Has anyone ever seen the Chapelle Show about "Poppycock?" What else could they do wrong?! I will NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM HHGREGG AGAIN! I WILL BE TALKING TO THE GENERAL MANAGER ON MONDAY, and possibly corporate! They should be ashamed to have MANAGERS LIKE THIS!!
